Blogging For Profit – 3 Tips For Overcoming Writers Block
It’s so easy to start a blog and monetize it and usually the average blogger will start out with an explosion of fresh content that eventually begins to dwindle before the profits manifest themselves.
If you’re blogging for profit, how can you overcome the dreaded writers block when you feel like you’ve said everything that needs to be said?
This article is going to give you three tips you can use right now to help you overcome writers block and keep your blog full of fresh relevant content that will keep your readers coming back for more.
Tip #1
Stop Trying To Be Perfect.
You may have heard or read the experiences of other bloggers who tend to not write or update their blog unless they’ve got something worthy to say. While this may be a rather noble approach to an otherwise casual channel of communication, it can cause an aspiring blogger to strive for something they’ll never achieve… perfection.
If you put too much pressure on yourself to come up with ground breaking content every time you sit down to write… nothing will happen.
Tip #2
Are You Writing or Editing?
An easy way to stifle your ability to compose a continual flow of content is to stop and edit your post while you’re composing it. If you concentrate on just allowing yourself to write freely, you’ll find that in time you will be able to generate content frequently and easily.
Don’t worey, worry, worrie about misspelling or grammatical errors when you’re in the process of getting your ideas out. Just get them out, save your post as a draft and once your writing session is over, go back and edit the content before you publish it.
Tip #3
Don’t Be Overly Self Conscious.
Another writing demon that always manages to appear when you’re ready to present your ideas to your audience is self-consciousness. Are you worried that someone may disagree with your view point or that someone will call you out on some inaccuracy?
By being overly concerned about the reaction of your audience, you in effect crush your creative abilities and unduly stress yourself out to the point of being too fearful to write anything at all.
The best way to overcome this problem is to stop censuring yourself by writing as if no one else was going to read it. Once you give yourself the freedom to express your own ideas and thoughts you’ll find that you will have more to write about than you can keep up with.

Tip #3 is my biggest hurdle. During my first blog I had a stalker that did nothing more then look for faults in everything I wrote. Must have ticked them off by hitting a nerve one day.
It is the reason why I have not continued blogging, at least from a personal blog point of view.

A good way to overcome writes block is to go outside and find some type of influence or ideas like if you see a tree swaying in the wind, you could write something about “turbulent times for growth in the education sector”… or something like that???
