Clickbank Exposed: An Untold Story

Ah yes, the beloved Clickbank. The largest digital retailer of information and software products on the net. Yes, that Clickbank. The same Clickbank everyone and their mother says you should go to, to get started if you want to get started making money online.

Heck, even I was all up in that bandwagon. Until…

I did a little digging into their payment policies and… ah yes, I noticed something very interesting and disturbing at the same time.

The way their payment policy is structured concerning affiliates is in favor of merchants… not affiliates. Here is a snapshot of what I’m talking about…

CUSTOMER DISTRIBUTION REQUIREMENT

ClickBank will withhold payment of any account balance until the following criteria is met:

  • Sales made with 5 or more different credit card numbers; and,
  • Sales made with two different payment methods (either Visa, MasterCard, or PayPal). Note: PayPal purchases do not count toward the minimum 5 different credit card numbers.

This requirement is in place to help prevent Affiliates from abusing the ClickBank Affiliate program by using their accounts for the sole purpose of fraudulently collecting rebates and/or discounts on their own purchases.

Once you have met the Customer Distribution Requirement, your account will begin issuing payments normally, in accordance with our Accounting Policy, beginning on the next payment issuing date.

Now if you noticed in the second bullet it mentioned that Paypal purchases do not count toward the minimum 5 different credit card numbers.

So here’s my question. How many sales am I possibly losing out on when a customer chooses to pay via Paypal instead of with their credit card?

How many sales are you losing? If I’m wrong, somebody correct me cause the only thing I see is that honest hard working affiliates are getting gipped out of time, effort and money.

This setup benefits merchants or “vendors” and those who have Ginormous lists who can afford to miss a couple of payments here and there, although you’re accounts would be alot fatter if every sale were accounted for.

If the rules state that sales must consist of 5 different credit card numbers, what the heck is the Paypal option there for?

Spend Your Time Promoting Products That Will Make You Money Instantly

There are ton of good products that you can make instant commissions on. Most of them are on $7 dollar secret or Rapid Action Profit scripts. Your email is usually your affiliate id and when you make a sale, the money goes directly into your paypal account. No waiting, No customer distribution requirement, no B.S.

There are many good products also hosted on 1shopping cart and infusionsoft servers that you can make really good commissions with.

You can even sell master resell rights products and keep 100% of the profits.

Before I conclude with my rant, let me say this. If you are pulling down a good income selling Clickbank products, wonderful. Keep it up.

If you’re kicking your own behind trying to make a commission. Stop.

Invest your time where it will do you and your family the most good.

If you feel differently, care to enlighten me?
