I’m Giving Her All She’s Got Captain!

Fog. I can’t see a thing. More Fog.

It’s so thick I can only make out glimpses of what I’m trying to see.

That’s what I feel like sometimes when I sit down to work at my computer.

The funny thing is that I could be going just fine throughout the day and WHAM!

It’s almost like my brain is stuck in quicksand.

It’s like my brain is trying to tell me: “I’m giving her all she’s got Captain!”.
(add the scottish accent for the Trekkies out there)

So I finally decided to do some research to figure out why this has been happening to me a lot lately.

Two things quickly came up on the radar.

1. Sugar
2. Caffeine

In my rush to get some adrenaline going, I’ll either drink one of those ‘Monster’ energy drinks or have a cup of coffee.

From there my energy will spike for an hour or two and then crash like a WWII fighter plane.

As if that wasn’t bad enough I’ll eat some cookies or have a piece of cake with my coffee.

Between the coffee and the sugary snacks, I might as well go skydiving without a parachute because the end result is going to be the same.

But the silent partner of both of these culprits is the lack of sleep that follows because I’m too wired to sleep when I should be.

I’ve realized for myself that I need to get at least 6-7 hours sleep per night and then take advantage of the morning when I feel most energized.

It’s different for everyone but if you’ve had that foggy feeling before and can’t seem to shake it, you might want to look into your diet a little bit.

Anyway this ties into internet marketing how?

The one organ you need to create content, products, blog and do the million other things you need to do to be successful online is… your brain.

The more energized it is, the more positive and motivated you’ll feel about doing the things that need to be done.

Over and out.
