Starting An Affiliate Marketing Business Online And Getting Results

Let’s face it, starting any business takes a bit of planning and a lot of execution to make it work but the most important concern at the end of the day is the result.

A result according to the Miriam-Webster dictionary is defined as…

1: something that results as a consequence, issue, or conclusion; also : beneficial or tangible effect : fruit

2: something obtained by calculation or investigation

It’s easy to get caught up in the dream of living the internet lifestyle and there certainly are enough websites out there willing to sell it to you BUT…

The only thing that matters at the end of the day is the results you get.

“It is in doing things and not reading about them that results come about.”― Stephen Richards

So with that said let’s talk about the wonderful world of affiliate marketing for a moment.

The appeal of affiliate marketing is that you don’t have to create your own products to sell.

You can simply promote someone else’s product and get a a commission every time a sale is made.

All you have to do is take the most logical step which is to find out what it is that people are buying and then find someone who is selling it and help them promote it to that group of people.

Pretty simple when you think of it and that’s why I want to share some additional information with you that you may find quite useful.

For starters let’s define two more words that are commonly used in the advertising of your typical internet marketing products.

Simple – readily understood or performed

Easy – causing or involving little difficulty or discomfort. Requiring or indicating little effort, thought, or reflection.

Did you notice that neither word made any mention of the other?

Easy doesn’t mean simple and simple doesn’t mean easy.

To put this into perspective a little bit further…

There are certain parts of the affiliate marketing process that are easy.

For example creating your affiliate link is easy and very simple to do… meaning not difficult to understand.

But writing content that is compelling and persuasive is not so easy or simple to do.

Learning how to do this in a skillful way takes practice.

To practice something means to do it a lot with the hope of getting better over time.

If you want to shorten the amount of time it will take to get better than you’re going to want to practice what you learn with greater intensity, frequency and consistency.

In addition to writing content that will persuade your visitors and get them in the right frame of mind to consider the products you choose to promote…

You have to find the right keywords that will attract visitors who are in the latter stage of the buying process.

Again this takes some time and effort.

The action itself is easy and simple to understand but the actual process that this action is a part of takes time to understand.

Am I making sense so far?

Affiliate Marketing Simple and Easy?

There is a big difference between simple and easy and while some parts of the affiliate marketing business model are pretty simple and easy to do…

The affiliate marketing business model as a whole is more involved.

The fastest way to shorten the learning curve and start getting results that mean money in the bank for you is to learn from someone who has already figured out how to make it work consistently.

Someone who has generated millions of dollars in revenue from their own affiliate marketing business and who has a proven track record for helping other people to create a full time affiliate income of their own.

Time and money are your most precious assets and the last thing you want to do is waste either of them.
