Getting Backlinks To Your Website – Googles’, Pandas and Slaps Oh My!

Apparently there is a good deal of disparity going around whether or not getting backlinks to your website is even worth the effort anymore.

I guess it’s understandable to be a little concerned about whether your content will be de-indexed or not, but all is really  not lost and the truth of the matter is that what most of us may have learned early on as far as link building and site development are concerned is the thing that will give us the best shot at building long term income online.

So when did getting backlinks to your website become a problem?

You see, it became relatively easy at one point to put up a one page review site that blatantly contained affiliate links and served no other purpose than to make sales.

Nothing wrong with the intent, but due to the fact that spammers began running Xrumer and scrape box links along with thousands of forum profile links to these sites to get them ranked high on the serps, the overall quality of information began to decrease at lightening speed.

Getting backlinks to your website vs. Google’s money

Now it’s important to take into consideration the millions of dollars of advertising that Google receives on an annual basis because so long as searchers are not satisfied with the results they get when they are looking for a specific piece of information, the amount of clicks on those paid ads is going to drop and the Big ‘G’ is not about to let that happen.

If you were in their shoes what would you do?

So this just makes it that more important to pay attention to developing sites with a structure that caters to quality content and giving the end user what is they are after.

This also means that getting backlinks to your website from reputable and relevant websites can only work, so long as the content being posted on those websites is of good quality as well.

What about getting backlinks to your website with software?

The truth is that none of this would be so difficult to adapt to if the majority of marketers kept to doing this in the first place. But due to the amount of work that goes into developing a top quality website that can be considered a real authority on the internet, all kinds of instant backlinking softwares began to popup to meet the demands of a market that doesn’t want to work that hard.

Does that mean that all back linking software are bad? No, not at all as a matter of fact there are some pretty good ones out there that actually do what they were created to do, but as is the case with many things in life, eventually someone figures out a way to use them in a spammy way.

So is getting backlinks to your site worth the effort?

Absolutely, so long as you intend to build with fire resistant materials like:

1. Quality Content

2. Relevant Backlinks

3. Good Site Structure

Despite the fact that many marketers have reported negative effects from Google’s latest Panda slap, there are many more that have begun to enjoy higher rankings because of it.

But you know what? Everything up there that you just read is my own opinion. What do you think, do you agree or disagree? Leave a comment below and let me know what YOU think :=)

Getting Targeted Traffic – This Is One of My Secret Weapons

It’s amazing how hot the topic of getting targeted traffic is in the internet marketing world. I mean everybody from bloggers to product creators to affiliate marketers constantly talk about it.

I guess if there is one thing that will always be in demand it’s the need for targeted traffic.

Well I want to share with you one of my secret weapons for getting the backlinks I need to rank my sites well on the search engines so I can get this laser targeted visitor traffic.

Before I do, I have to say that despite all of the hoopla concerning the Panda update, there is something you should know and this is important because so many people are heading for the hills over this and that is…

Blog networks still work.

Oh, I’m sorry… was that my outside voice?

It’s true. Blog. Networks. Still. Work.

If Blog Networks Still Work Than What Happened?

One of the reasons BMR (build my rank) and ALN (Authority Link Network) and reportedly LinkVana bore the brunt of the latest Google Panda update is because the majority of the content that was floating around in those networks was total crap.

With the advent of all the various scrapers and spinners out there it’s very easy to see how this could happen. So good ole Google in the best interest of it’s searchers decided to pull the plug on all that junk content.

Now here’s the thing. Remember when Ezine Articles got slapped? While everyone else was jumping ship and shouting that the ‘sky was falling’, EZA is still a very productive traffic source.

Quality Content Is Being Enforced

And with these latest updates, the aforementioned sites above haven’t gone anywhere they’ve just been forced to purge themselves of the utter garbage that lazy marketers dared to call articles.

So having said all that one of the blog networks I use for getting targeted traffic and backlinks is the Free Traffic System. The Free Traffic System has an alexa ranking of 9,906 which is pretty darn good considering it’s a blog network. (shhhh!)

If you haven’t heard yet, link diversity and good content that actually informs, educates or entertains people is what Google is looking for. That means that us marketers might actually have to do some (dare I say it?) w-o-r-k.

Well that’s just one of my secret weapons. If you want to get a closer look at how I go about getting targeted traffic and high search engine rankings check out Atomic Article Traffic.

Have you found what I’m sharing with you to be true? What’s been your experience? Leave a comment and share your thoughts.
